Maya Ivanova
Foresight analyst
I trained in foresight at the Institute for the Future (IFTF, Palo Alto) and the University of Houston.
My specialism is personal foresight: I adapt futures research methods to questions about life, work, and personal choices. I help people notice change, explore possible scenarios, and understand which decisions they can make today.
In my work, I combine strategic foresight with a coaching approach and attention to people's values, emotions, and identity.

The path into this work
How I came to foresight.
My professional background is in data analytics at a large technology company.
What drew me to foresight was its systematic approach: noticing signals of change, seeing connections between them, questioning assumptions, and exploring several possible future scenarios.
I found foresight while trying to make sense of uncertainty in my own career. The methods were rigorous and practical, but they mostly lived in boardrooms, policy rooms, and strategic planning teams.
“I bring evidence-based methods, but I remain curious. I believe the best insights emerge through exploration together.”
